This 6 week course is open to children aged 8+ who have completed the beginner's sewing course or who have the necessary skills required.
We'll start the course by creating our own unique fashion designs using templates based on our patterns and a wide range of fabrics to choose from.
We will gather all of our required fabrics and notions together and then move on to pinning and cutting out our chosen patterns and preparing to sew.
Sewing time: mostly machine sewing and a little hand sewing will be required as well for finishing off, adding buttons, etc.
Finally we will complete our outfits with made or provided accessories. If time allows, we will make accessories, jewelry and maybe even learn a little crochet.
Children may bring their own machines if they have them and they are suitable, or we have a number of machines available here to use. They may have to take turns on the machines, especially if supervision is required, but we will have lots of other things to do whilst waiting.
The Fibre Loft offers guaranteed finished projects with free extra time offered to children if required or alternatively finished for them if necessary.
Cost
In Person:
$45 per session or $240 for the whole course ($40 × 6 sessions)
Virtual is not available for this course.
All supplies, fabric, notions, and use of sewing machine is included in the cost. Refreshments and treats are also included.
