Kids Summer Workshop Sessions July 7th - 11th

"In The Garden" - Mixed Fibre Arts / Crafts

Nature will be blooming in July and so will your kids at the Fibre Loft. Painting, cutting, sticking, sewing, hooking, stuffing, and more to create crafts with a nature theme; flowers, trees, bugs, birds, animals. All of our projects will be inspired by our "In The Garden" theme.

Book one or more 1 session or 2 session projects or come for the whole week.

Book morning and afternoon sessions, bring a packed lunch, and stay between for FREE. We'll be having picnics, outdoor activities, toys + games, movies and more.

Wrap around care available (8am-5:30pm) for extra charge.

Projects & Dates

Mixed Media Collage (2 sessions)

Monday July 7th and Tuesday July 8th, 9:30am - 12pm (noon)

We'll create a painted background on canvas then add fabric and embellishments to create a beautiful collage of birds, butterflies, and flowers.

Plus a yarn wrapped butterfly or two while we wait for paint/glue to dry.

Fluffy Hedgehogs (2 sessions)

Monday July 7th and Tuesday July 8th, 1:30pm - 4pm

While learning some sewing and pre crochet skills, we'll create a super cute hedgehog out of yarn, natural colors or wild and wacky, anything goes.

String Art (2 sessions)

Wednesday July 9th and Thursday July 10th, 9:30am - 12pm (noon)

A choice of nature themed designs. We'll start with hammering in nails (safety instruction + goggles provided) - a fun and great skill to learn. Then on to winding thread to create beautiful pictures.

Sock Snakes (2 sessions)

Wednesday July 9th and Thursday July 10th, 1:30pm - 4pm

Supervised hand sewing skills and some machine, then stuffing and finishing. Who can make the longest?

Pom Pom Bees/Bugs (1 session)

Friday July 11th 9:30am - 12pm (noon)

Learn how to make pompoms that will turn into bees and bugs and spiders if you must. How many can you make?

Gardening Gnomes (1 Session)

Friday July 11th 1:30pm - 4pm

Make a little gardening buddy with this super cute, no sewing required, plant pot, sock gnome. Make your own custom gnome gnome choosing from a wide variety of embellishments.

Cost

Projects Cost

Choose any combination of 1 session and/or 2 session projects:

1 session project - $35 ($10 booking deposit)
2 session project - $70 ($20 booking deposit)

For example, signing up for Mixed Media Collage, Sock Snakes, and Gardening Gnomes is $150 with a $50 booking deposit.

Alternatively, sign up for the entire week and - $300 (Saves $50) ($100 booking deposit)

All supplies are included as well as snacks/refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch if signed up for a morning and afternoon project.

Wrap Around Care Cost

8am-9:30am - $10
4pm-5:30pm - $10

A full day (8am-5:30pm) of wrap around care will cost $20, and a full week of wrap around care is $100.
