Kids Summer Workshop Sessions August 11th - 16th

"Sand and Sea" - Mixed Fibre Arts / Crafts

Hopefully we'll all make it to the beach this summer as what could be better? The Fibre Loft will have the next best thing with our creativity and imaginations taking us there as well. Projects this week will be focused on all things by the sea and in the sea.

Book one or more 1 session or 2 session projects or come for the whole week.

Book morning and afternoon sessions, bring a packed lunch, and stay between for FREE. We'll be having picnics, outdoor activities, toys + games, movies and more.

Wrap around care available (8am-5:30pm) for extra charge.

Projects & Dates

Mixed Media Wall Art (2 sessions)

Monday August 11th and Tuesday August 12th, 9:30am - 12pm (noon)
We'll create beautiful art, starting with a painted background then adding fabric and embellishments.

We'll also make a cute yarn wrapped turtle while waiting for paint to dry.

Yarn Jellyfish (2 sessions)

Monday August 11th and Tuesday August 12th, 1:30pm - 4pm

We'll create a magical jellyfish, learning some sewing and pre crochet skills along the way. Mix and match your choice of colors and different yarns to create your own custom design.

String Art (2 sessions)

Wednesday August 13th and Thursday August 14th, 9:30am - 12pm (noon)

A choice of beach themed designs. We'll start with some painting and hammering in nails (safety instruction + goggles provided) - what fun and a great skill to learn. Then on to winding round the thread to create beautiful, unique pictures.

Beachy Wall Hanging (2 sessions)

Wednesday August 13th and Thursday August 14th, 1:30pm - 4pm

We'll create a sand and sea inspired wall hanging weaving with a choice of yarn and fabric strips on mini looms. Then we'll add shells and more for decoration and hang it from driftwood.

Pom Pom Sea Creatures (1 session)

Friday August 15th 9:30am - 12pm (noon)

Learn how to make pom poms that will turn into sea creatures of all colors and kinds. How many can you make?

Beach Gnomes (1 Session)

Friday August 15th 1:30pm - 4pm

Gnomes need a day off too, and ours will be heading to the beach. Make a super cute, no sewing required sock gnome, and decorate him with a beachy vibe from a wide variety of embellishments.

Cost

Projects Cost

Choose any combination of 1 session and/or 2 session projects:

1 session project - $35 ($10 booking deposit)
2 session project - $70 ($20 booking deposit)

For example, signing up for Mixed Media Wall Art, Yarn Jellyfish, and Beach Gnomes is $150 with a $50 booking deposit.

Alternatively, sign up for the entire week - $300 (Saves $50) ($100 booking deposit)

All supplies are included as well as snacks/refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch if signed up for a morning and afternoon project.

Wrap Around Care Cost

8am-9:30am - $10
4pm-5:30pm - $10

A full day (8am-5:30pm) of wrap around care will cost $20, and a full week of wrap around care is $100.
